Karen Boorshtein will become Family Service League’s new President and CEO effective February 1st.  Boorshstein currently serves as FSL’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Boorshtein succeeds Rick Van Dyke who is retiring.

A licensed clinical social worker, Boorshtein has been with Family Service League since 1993.  Through these years, she has been instrumental in increasing the amount of support the agency receives from the local, state, and federal levels of government.

“The long-term relationships that Karen has cultivated with this sector have enabled FSL to become the standard bearer among human services agencies on Long Island,” stated Richard Gavin, chair, Family Service League Board of Directors.  “The Board of Directors is confident that Karen possesses the leadership, management skills, and vision necessary to lead our great organization to a bright and successful future.”
