Family Service League addresses social problems at the most basic and intimate level - the single individual or family in need of help. This is the essence of our Mission Statement:

Family Service League helps individuals, children and families to mobilize their strengths and improve the quality of their lives at home, in the workplace and in the community.

Changing a person's life through empowerment is a simple concept, but one that becomes so much more complex when it must be extended to the nearly 47,000 lives we touch each year. To bring together the resources needed to succeed at this level, Family Service League works with the state and county governments, private foundations, benefactors from the business sector, and individual contributors. We transform resources into effective programs through the personal efforts of approximately 500 employees and 1,000 volunteers.
