Gala benefits Family Service League – Proceeds help provide a safety-net to thousands on LI!

Family Service League (FSL), a Long Island based non-profit human service organization, held its annual Summer Gala Benefit on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Bourne Mansion.  This celebratory event is an important fundraiser helping thousands of Long Island children and families in need.
FSL was pleased to recognize Jaspan Schlesinger, LLP with the Community Leadership Award and Titan Global, LLC with the Corporate Leadership Award.  These awards identified both distinguished honorees for their efforts and commitment to supporting FSL’s mission. “Family Service League has been restoring hope and rebuilding lives, making our families stronger and our communities better on a daily basis, and it is truly our honor to play a part in fostering the mission,” stated Laura Granelli, partner at Jaspan Schlesinger and a Family Service League Board Member.  The Gala Committee members, co-chaired by Robert Creighton of Farrell Fritz, Jim Petrocelli, Jr. of J. Petrocelli Contracting, and Kimberly Stevens of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, planned an evening of waterfront cocktails, gourmet cuisine, dancing to the band “Arcadia”, along with a fabulous auction.  Proceeds from the Gala will support the 60 programs FSL provides for children and adults across Long Island.  A wonderful evening for a great cause!

“Family Service League is proud to be working with our co-chairs, committee, honorees, and sponsors to make this event a success. Their commitment to improving the lives of Long Islanders seamlessly supports FSL’s goal of providing a broad array of programs which promote mental health and well-being,” said Karen Boorshtein, FSL President & CEO.  “Many of the individuals who benefit from FSL’s services are facing overwhelming challenges. Thanks to this type of special event funding and interest, we are able to offer a variety of support tools which empower individuals and families to mobilize their strengths and improve the quality of their lives.”
