LONG ISLAND’S PRIEMER HOUSE TOUR RAISED OVER $130,000!

05.31.2016

Family Service League (FSL), a Long Island non-profit human service organization, is pleased to announce that the 65th Annual House Tour was a sold-out success. Hundreds of people had the opportunity to explore fascinating homes and, at the same time, support FSL’s programs and services by raising more than $130,000.  The May 25th event featured wide array of well-appointed private homes showcasing some of the North Shore’s finest architecture.

A gourmet lunch was held at Harbor Club at Prime where Marge Sammis received the Community Leadership Award and Sal Ferro, of Alure Home Improvements, was presented with the Corporate Leadership Award.  FSL was privileged to have the opportunity to recognize both honorees for their dedication, vision and commitment to the families and children of Long Island. This fundraiser was made possible by the volunteer efforts of over 100 committee members and this year’s event co-chairs, Susan Eisner and Mary Winterle.

“The support of our honorees, the homeowners, and the many dedicated volunteers is greatly appreciated by Family Service League and the thousands of community residents we serve.  The House Tour offers guests the unique opportunity to spend the day visiting beautiful homes knowing that the proceeds from sponsorships, tickets and raffle sales directly impact the 60 programs and services that FSL provides for individuals and families in need throughout the year.“          ~ Karen Boorshtein, LCSW, FSL President & CEO
