Library Family Places provide parenting education and case management to parents of young children.
Programs Description:
Parenting education following the Parent/Child Workshop series are conducted with multiple families. Family Place staff observes parent child interaction and models appropriate communication. The Parent/Child workshop provides array of parenting skills, developmental education, and support. Parents and children may also receive individual counseling. Families in need of food, clothing or concrete assistance are provided with information and referrals.
Persons Served:
Services are provided through the community libraries in Selden/Centereach, Riverhead, and Freeport.
