Program Purpose:
To assist expectant and new parents with a range of services.
To enhance family functioning by:
-establishing a nurturing relationship  
-improving the family’s support system  
 -teaching problem-solving skills
To promote healthy child growth and development
To promote positive parent-child interaction

Program Description:
Healthy Families Suffolk is a home visiting program that offers home-based services to expectant families and new parents, beginning prenatally or shortly after the birth of the child. Participants are screened to identify risk factors and stressors that the family may face. Families who participate in the program are offered long-term in-home services until the child is pre-school age or kindergarten ready.

Persons Served:
Expectant and new parents with new infants under the age of 3 months living
in the Brentwood and Bay Shore communities.

Fees:
None

Program Hours:
Monday-Friday/ 9am-5pm (weekend hours are available, depending on the
family’s needs and availability of Family Support worker).
