Program Purpose:
The Home Safe Parenting Program works with parents who have been court-ordered to attend parent education classes.

Program Description:
Utilizing their strengths, parents receive 6-8 weeks of court-approved parenting skills training designed to enhance parenting abilities and coping skills. Three different parenting programs are offered to meet the need of families with children of all ages.

Persons Served:
Parents and/or other caregivers with a court-ordered mandate for parenting classes. Referrals are made directly through the Suffolk County Department of Social Services, Child Protective/Preventive Division, Foster Care Services Division or Investigations Division.

Fees:
There is no fee for this service

Program Hours:
Hours are flexible- depending on the needs of the consumer
