Community-Crisis Action Team (C-CAT)

Program Purpose:
The purpose the Community Crisis Action Team (C-CAT) is to respond to traumatic incidents in the community and assess and meet the needs of individuals and groups affected by trauma and crisis.

Program Description:
C-CAT can respond throughout the county and in some cases outside of Suffolk. Members of the Team are often deployed within hours of the first contact. The team will then determine the most suitable intervention for the situation at hand. C-CAT utilizes debriefings, defusing, and one on one interventions.          

Persons Served:
C-CAT will serve those who have experienced a traumatic event. These events can happen in the workplace, in the schools, or in the community.

Fees:
There are no fees associated with the C-CAT program.

Program Hours:
The team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
