Program Purpose:
To provide comprehensive quality mental health services to individuals
with mental health concerns to assist them in restoring, maintaining and
enhancing the quality of their lives at home, at school and in the community.
The culturally sensitive programs emphasize self-dignity, self-esteem, ability for intimacy
in interpersonal relationships, creativity and a connectedness with
the community.
Program Description:
Programs provide a full array of mental health services to our clients.
These services include: Crisis Intervention; Screening, Assessment, and
Treatment Planning; Individual, Family, Couple and Group Psychotherapy;
Play Psychotherapy; Medication Evaluation and Medication Therapy;
Hypnotherapy and Relaxation Therapy; Individual Case Management
Services and Family Case Management Services; and Parent Education
and Family Life Education.
Persons Served:
North Fork Counseling and the Iovino South Family Center Clinic provide
individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy sessions to children over age 13,
adolescents, adults and seniors residing in the community of Southold
Township, Riverhead and Shelter Island, the North Fork and Islip and
Babylon Townships.
Fees:
Medicaid, Medicare and most insurances accepted. Also, an income-based
sliding scale is utilized.
