Program Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to provide a safe, warm place to spend the night for homeless individuals who have been living outdoors in the Huntington area.
Program Description:
Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative (HIHI) is comprised of more than 35 congregations in Huntington Township. These congregations band together to provide housing, clothing, a hot dinner, breakfast and bag lunch to our “guests” during the coldest months of the year.
Persons Served:
Any person in need of shelter for the night.
Fees:
This program is free of charge.
Program Hours:
Individuals are picked up at 5:30 p.m., and brought to one of the
congregations for the night .
Program Location:
Individuals are sheltered at any one of 8 congregations in the
Huntington area.
