For over 30 years, Karen Boorshtein has been a driving force behind Family Service League’s mission, guiding the organization’s growth and expanding its impact across Long Island.
Under her leadership, FSL strengthened critical mental health, substance use, housing, family support, senior, and crisis services, ensuring individuals and families receive care when they
need it most. Her collaborative approach has built strong partnerships across the community, ensuring that FSL remains responsive, innovative, and grounded in the real needs of those it serves.
As Karen prepares for her retirement, Family Service League proudly honors her career and legacy at Great Chefs. This evening celebrates her decades of service, her advocacy,
and the difference she has made in the lives of so many across Long Island.
