For 100 years, Family Service League has been a trusted resource for Long Islanders in need, providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals, children, and families across our communities. Since our founding in 1926, our mission has remained constant to support people through life’s challenges and empower them to build stronger, healthier, and more stable futures.
Today, Family Service League serves more than 60,000 individuals each year through over 60 programs at 20 locations across Long Island. Our services span a wide continuum of care, including mental health counseling, addiction prevention and treatment, housing and homeless services, trauma informed care, early childhood education, vocational training, and family and senior support.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to meeting people where they are. Through our family centers, we provide integrated, community-based services that address the complex and interconnected needs facing individuals and families today. By bringing care directly into the communities we serve, we ensure that support is both available and accessible.
As we reflect on a century of service, we are proud of the impact Family Service League has made and grateful for the support that has made it possible. Our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, and partners share a collective commitment to strengthening our communities and expanding access to care for those who need it most.
Looking ahead, Family Service League remains focused on growing and evolving to meet the changing needs of Long Island. Through innovation, collaboration, and a continued dedication to excellence, we will build on our strong foundation to reach even more individuals and families in the years to come.
